"HOW TO DRAW CELTIC KNOTWORK"

A Practical Handbook
by Andy Sloss

This book enables even the novice to draw intricate Celtic-style knotwork without months of practice, or any artistic training. It is also a source book containing over 200 different knots, with charted patterns for knitting, embroidery etc.

With all knotwork broken down into variations of only eight basic shapes, anyone can use the simple guides and grids to draw simple or comples knotwork designs. The added attraction of this method is that each pattern is unique to the artist, not a repetition of an existing (copyrighted) pattern like those which appear in other books. This book explains how, in essence, Celtic knotwork is a visual language, so once you understand its basic vocabulary, you can invent new forms and permutations of your own.
